The National Tourism Office of Madagascar (ONTM) commenced its grand celebration marking two decades of tireless efforts in promoting Madagascar as a premier international tourist destination. The ceremonious opening took place on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the illustrious Havoria Anosy auditorium, resonating with the spirit of achievement and anticipation for the future.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Christian Ntsay and the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Joël Randriamandranto. Joining them was Ionjaniaina Ranaivoarimanana, the current Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the ONTM, symbolizing the unified commitment towards advancing Madagascar’s tourism sector.

Gathered at the ceremony were key stakeholders from the tourism industry, encompassing former ministers, PCAs and dedicated personnel, alongside esteemed personalities, all converging to commemorate this significant milestone in Madagascar’s tourism journey.

The festivities are slated to continue at the International Tourism Fair (ITM), culminating in a special evening on June 22 at the scenic Bois Vert Ivato. This extended celebration promises to be a testament to the ONTM’s unwavering dedication and its pivotal role in shaping Madagascar’s global tourism footprint.
