SAA is in problems; after the strike, the problems are even larger as the negative financial impact of the strike hit an already weak airline. According to an internal document, written by one of the former SAA CEO's, one of the best chances to recover would be to absolutely governement-free and to merge with another major airlines.
Today, on the 2nd of December 2019, Air Zimbabwe did not operate any flights. The airline said that this was because of "operational limitations beyond its control". Air Zimbabwe said that they would resume operations, tomorrow, the 3rd of December 2019.

Flight Centre Travel Group, the international travel agency, has stopped selling tickets in SAA South African Airways as per media report on businesslive.co.za. Reason for this was that a travel insurance company said, it would no longer cover SAA tickets against insolvency.
