Seven Seas Voyager to cruise roundtrip from Cape Town in 2023/24
Regent Seven Seas Cruises will return Seven Seas Voyager to South Africa for the 2023/24 cruise season, sailing roundtrip out of Cape Town.
Seven Seas Voyager will cruise two South African voyages out of Cape Town in December, 2023, before departing the region in January, 2024, bound for Brazil. The two 15-night “Game Drives & Birding Adventures Cape Town To Cape Town” cruises will depart December 13th and 28th, 2023.
Each of these cruises will feature Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Richard’s Bay and Mossel Bay in South Africa, as well as Maputo in Mozambique, and Walvis Bay in Namibia, as ports of call.
Unusually for most cruise ships homeporting in Cape Town, Seven Seas Voyager won’t be staying overnight in the city, but she will overnight in Walvis Bay, Richard’s Bay, and Durban, which underscores the game safari nature of these itineraries.
In all three ports of call, Regent Seven Seas emphasizes the local wildlife that passengers can discover.
In Walvis Bay there’s fly-over dolphin and whale sighting and bird watching at Dune 7. In Durban, passengers can enjoy sightings of giraffe, rhino, hippos, buffalo, kudu and the elusive sable antelope at Tala Game Reserve.
And in Richard’s Bay they can explore the city’s spectacular wetland scenery and pristine beaches, or look for the ‘big five’ at Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game Reserve.
Aboard Seven Seas Voyager between ports, passengers will be able to relax by the pool, compete in a friendly game of trivia or bocce ball, indulge in treats at afternoon tea and gain insight from an expert lecturer during the day. At night, there’s cabaret shows, casino events, karaoke and more.
The ship offers four dining options, from lobster to burgers and shakes, as well as a large pool area, two Jacuzzis, and a fitness centre and Serene Spa & Wellness, complete with an aerobics studio and sauna. The ship even has a small retail area with a selection of duty-free designer clothes, jewelry, perfumes and more.
In all four of the restaurants and all five of the cafes and bars, food and drink is included in the cruise fare, as are all the shore excursions, gratuities, and even wi-fi. Regent is also offering one pre- or post-cruise land holiday to guests, featuring the Cape winelands, Victoria Falls, or a stay in a safari park.
