Costa releases details on Christmas Cruise from Dubai for 2022/23 season
Costa Cruises has announced a host of themed events and activities for families and children on its Christmas Cruise out of Dubai in the Arabian Gulf, as well as other locations around the world.
Costa Toscana is homeporting in Dubai for the 2022/23 cruise season, sailing roundtrip, weeklong cruises visiting Abu Dhabi and Muscat.
The voyages feature two-night stays in Dubai, and overnight port calls in Abu Dhabi and Muscat, providing more time ashore for guests than any other cruise line homeporting in Dubai this season.
Costa Toscana’s Christmas Cruise departs on Christmas Eve, December 24th from Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal. The 6-night voyage stays overnight in Muscat, Oman and Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. Christmas Day is spent at sea cruising for Muscat.
On New Year’s Eve, another weeklong cruise is scheduled, departing on December 31st at midnight, with a long call and an overnight stay in Dubai, Muscat and Abu Dhabi.
In addition to the usual activities and entertainment on board and ashore, Costa’s Christmas and New Year cruises will have a special program designed for the occasion, with themed parties and shows for young and old alike.
On the Christmas cruise Santa Claus will visit the ships to collect children’s drawings and letters during a meet-and-greet at the Christmas Tree in the ship’s main atrium.
Adults can live all the magic of Christmas with shows and carols, and on New Year’s Eve, they will celebrate with a poolside party that runs until dawn. The menus will also be themed, with dishes inspired by Italian festive tradition.
Costa Toscana’s voyages are among 16 Christmas and New Year cruises exploring the United Arab Emirates and Oman, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean or South America.
“In the daytime, guests can relax in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean or have fun aboard a 4×4 in the Dubai desert; in the evening, they can share with their loved ones the atmosphere of the brightly decorated ships and the tables set with traditional dishes,” says Costa Cruises.
Apart from Dubai, Costa will also be offering festive voyages aboard Costa Fascinosa, Costa Pacifica, Costa Smeralda, Costa Deliziosa, Costa Firenze, Costa Fortuna and Costa Favolosa.
Costa Fascinosa and Costa Pacifica sail four different itineraries in the Caribbean islands. Costa Fascinosa offers two one-week itineraries, departing December 23rd or 30th from Guadeloupe, both exploring the Lesser Antilles.
During the Christmas cruise the ship will visit Bonaire, Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, Barbados, and Martinique; and on the New Year’s cruise, she will sail to Trinidad, Grenada, Saint Vincent, Saint Lucia, and Martinique.
Costa Pacifica offers a 10-day and an 11-day itinerary, departing from La Romana (Dominican Republic) on December 18th and 28th, one dedicated to the Greater Antilles and one to the Lesser Antilles.
At Christmas, the ship will visit Ocho Rios, Montego Bay (Jamaica), Cayman Islands, Amber Cove, Samana, Catalina Island (Dominican Republic); at New Year’s Curacao, Aruba, Trinidad, Saint Lucia, Barbados, Guadeloupe, Antigua, and the British Virgin Islands.
These Caribbean and the UAE cruises are available with the “flight+cruise” package, which includes transfer from the airport to the ship.
The Mediterranean is a popular destination for European guests who want to stay close to home. Costa Smeralda will offer weeklong cruises to Italy, France and Spain, with departures from Savona on December 24th and 31st, and calls in Marseille, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Palermo and Civitavecchia (for Rome).
Costa Deliziosa will offer weekly cruises in the eastern Mediterranean, including Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Departures are scheduled on Friday, December 23rd or 30th from Trieste, to visit Split (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro), Katakolon and Athens (Greece) and Bari.
Costa Firenze, Costa Fortuna and Costa Favolosa meanwhile will offer Christmas and New Year cruises from Brazil to Argentina and Uruguay.
