Camair-Co renews its IOSA certification for the fifth consecutive time
All member airlines of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) are required to undergo a periodic IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) to ensure that they remain compliant with international standards. A challenging exercise that Camair-Co has once again undergone.
Camair-Co's operations remain in compliance with international standards. Indeed, the Cameroonian public flag announced this Friday, December 9, 2022, having passed the IOSA audit, for the fifth consecutive time. Its certification is now valid until 29 April 2022. The IOSA audit is an internationally recognised assessment system designed to evaluate the operational management and control systems of an air operator. "The IOSA audit creates a globally comparable standard, enabling and maximising the joint use of audit reports. This has enabled the industry to avoid more than 6,400 redundant audits, and continues to result in significant cost savings for airlines participating in IOSA," says IATA.
"Over the past two decades, IOSA has become the industry benchmark for safety auditing, contributing to improved safety performance," it adds. All IATA member carriers are required to regularly renew their IOSA certification if they wish to maintain their membership of the Association. With an operational fleet consisting of a Boeing 737-700, two Dash 8-400s, and two Embraer 135s and 145s (leased from Cronos Airlines, an Equatorial Guinean private carrier), Camair-Co mainly serves the Cameroonian domestic market (Douala, Yaoundé, Bafoussam, Ngaoundéré, Garoua and Maroua), but also Libreville (Gabon) and Ndjamena (Chad).
