Etihad Airways announces new flights to Lisbon and returns to Málaga and Mykonos
Starting from 2 July 2023, Etihad Airways is expanding its European network by launching a new direct service between Abu Dhabi and Lisbon. The airline will offer three flights per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, connecting Abu Dhabi to the Portuguese capital city, just in time for summer vacations.
In addition to the new route, Etihad Airways will also resume flights to Málaga on the Spanish Costa del Sol and the Greek island of Mykonos for the summer. The airline will fly to Málaga twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays, starting from 18 June 2023. Meanwhile, flights to Mykonos will commence on Mondays and Fridays, from 16 June 2023.
With the addition of these new routes, Etihad Airways will offer travelers almost 160 weekly flights to 21 European destinations this summer, with 20% more seats available than in 2022. Etihad Airways' CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, expressed his excitement about the new route to Lisbon, stating that it will strengthen trade and tourism ties between the UAE and Portugal.
