Tanzania: latest mini cabinet changes see the country’s 4th Tourism Minister in 3 years
In a minor cabinet reshuffle, President Samia Suluhu Hassan has announced several transfers and appointments. Mohamed Mchengerwa, who previously served as Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports, has been moved to the Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources, replacing Dr. Pindi Chana, who has been transferred to the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports.
Additionally, Culture, Arts and Sports Permanent Secretary Dr. Hassan Abbasi has been moved to the Ministry of Tourism and Natural Resources, taking over from Prof Eliamani Sedoyeka. Said Othman Yakub has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Sports, filling the vacancy left by Dr. Abbasi's transfer. The appointees are expected to take their oaths tomorrow, according to a statement released by the State House.
