CAMRAIL successfully transports 10,000 tonnes of ertilizer CAMRAIL successfully transports 10,000 tonnes of ertilizer

In March 2023, CAMRAIL, the railway concessionaire of Cameroon, successfully delivered around 10,000 tonnes of fertilizer to Chad on behalf of APM (Agence de Prestations Maritimes), demonstrating its logistical capabilities and team expertise. The delivery took just three days to transit between Douala and Ngaoundéré, with an average loading of 20 platform wagons per day, or 788 tonnes. Clarisse Fouma, Head of Logistics Department at APM, expressed satisfaction with CAMRAIL's performance and hopes to maintain this level of efficiency for future campaigns.

APM has been a regular client of CAMRAIL since 2019 and relies on the railway to transport products for the economy, agriculture, and humanitarian aid to North Cameroon and Chad. CAMRAIL's Commercial Marketing Director, Alain Minoué, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting agricultural production in both regions and providing quality services tailored to the products being transported.

Currently, CAMRAIL is conducting two other fertilizer transport campaigns, one of which involves the delivery of 30,000 tonnes on behalf of Sodecoton via the Collective of Cotton Producers (CNPC), and the other aims to deliver nearly 17,500 tonnes of fertilizer to Chad for Coton Tchad.

For over ten years, CAMRAIL has contributed to the agricultural sector's development in northern Cameroon and Chad by providing cost-effective fertilizer to thousands of farmers through its rail system, positively impacting production and helping to reduce the risk of famine. To ensure customer satisfaction, a top priority for CAMRAIL, the company has expanded its offerings in recent years, including door-to-door service, and has breakage areas and available stores in key locations like Yaoundé, Bélabo, and Ngaoundéré.
