The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman has announced its official partnership with ITB Berlin, as the host country of the World's Leading Travel Trade Show in 2024. This collaboration will provide a potent platform for Oman to showcase the diverse offerings it provides in the growing tourism industry. H.E. Salim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman, expressed his pleasure that the country will be the host in 2024, and affirmed the commitment to offer an impressive and lasting experience for all visitors.

The partnership was sealed with a declaration of intent signed by the minister during an informal ceremony at ITB Berlin 2023, followed by the official signing of the agreement with David Ruetz, senior vice president of Messe Berlin. David Ruetz expressed delight at securing such an attractive partner for the event and acknowledged Oman's impressive representation at ITB Berlin over the years.

Oman, situated in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula, boasts a rich history spanning 5,000 years and is renowned for its diverse attractions. Visitors can expect a warm welcome in a nature paradise of many contrasts, offering relaxation and activities alike. The country's high mountains, impressive caves, golden sand dunes, green oases, sandy beaches, and cliffs that stretch for miles offer a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, and snorkelling.

As the official host country of ITB Berlin 2024, Oman will organize several events, including the opening ceremony on 4 March 2024 at the CityCube Berlin. From 5 to 7 March, the Sultanate will present a comprehensive program featuring numerous events for trade visitors.
