Seabourn will do a circumnavigation cruise of Africa
Seabourn will offer its first voyage circumnavigating Africa.
The 90-day Grand Africa Voyage will sail clockwise around the continent from Barcelona, departing Nov. 30, 2024. The 458-passenger Seabourn Sojourn will visit 44 ports in 26 countries, including Alexandria, Egypt; and Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, Israel.
Other calls include tropical locations like Seychelles near East Africa and Bom Bom Island in the Gulf of Guinea; landscape-rich countries like Kenya, Madagascar and Zanzibar; and cultural destinations including Cape Town, Casablanca and the country of Mozambique.
In addition to excursions that include hikes, safari and scuba dives, other options will be visits to a camel milk farm, botanical gardens and longer experiences that cannot be done during a single-day excursion, such as visiting a gorilla sanctuary. The sailing will include six overnight stays.
This voyage includes complimentary benefits, including roundtrip business-class flights and dinner and overnight hotel stay at Hotel Majestic before departing Barcelona. Oceanview and veranda suite guests will receive $2,000 in shipboard credit per suite or $1,000 credit per person, with guests in penthouse and premium suites receiving $3,000 per suite or $1,500 per person. The sailing also includes car transfers from home to the airport, lugging shipping service between home and the ship in Barcelona, and unlimited laundry.
Guests who book the sailing and pay in fully by July 26, 2023, will receive an additional 10% savings off the cruise-only fare.
The sailing is the second "first" Seabourn is rolling out in 2024. The Seabourn Pursuit expedition ship will be the first Seabourn vessel to sail to the Kimberley region in Australia.
