The Management of Green Africa Airlines has been assured of support and conducive atmosphere for its commercial flights operations into the Ibadan airport.

The Manager of Ibadan Airport, Mr Ojo Afolabi who led other management team to receive the Green Africa airline team in his office in preparation for flight operations at the airport said the airport will provide necessary facilities that will aid their operations at the airport.

Afolabi assured them of a conducive working environment saying that the Oyo state government has contributed enormously through intervention in supporting the Airport especially the introduction of the Aviation filling station which will be operating soon.

Responding, Mr. Olayinka Adeyiga Senior Manager, Airport services, Green Africa told the airport management that the airline was at the airport to acquaint them on their readiness to put things in place for effective operations.

He disclosed that operations will commence fully in August, 2023, while flights would be between Ibadan to Abuja tentatively.

He noted that there were persistent request for flights to the eastern hemisphere of the country from customers assuring the Management of the possibility of extending their flights to the east, especially Owerri as time goes on.

According to Mr, Olayinka, Green Africa will be operating everyday with a 70 seater capacity ATR72600 aircraft.
