South African stretch of AIDA’s 2024/25 World Cruise opens for booking
Stretches of AIDAsol’s 2024/2025 world cruise have opened for sale, with 33- to 84-night legs of the voyage now available for booking, including the portion visiting South Africa.
Prices for the individual legs of the World Cruise start at €3,650 per person including a €700 early booking discount if booked by April 30th, 2024, subject to availability.
AIDAsol will depart from Hamburg on October 23rd, 2024, visiting 41 ports and 17 countries in 117 days. The full World Cruise is priced at €14,445 per person, including a €3,000 early-bird discount for bookings made by April 30th, 2024.
AIDAsol will return to Hamburg on February 17th, 2025, with the outward and inward legs of the World Cruise now open for anyone to book.
The outbound 37-day journey from Hamburg to San Antonio departs October 23, 2024 and arrives November 28, 2024, and costs €4,895 per person including a €700 early bird plus discount.
For a longer journey visiting destinations such as French Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia and Mauritius, there is an option to sail a 49-day leg from San Antonio to Mauritius from November 28th, 2024 to January 15th, 2025 (from €8,295 per person including €1,000 early bird plus discount).
AIDAsol then departs on the South African leg of the voyage, departing Mauritius January 15th, 2025 on a 31-day cruise homeward bound for Hamburg, visiting La Réunion, South Africa, Namibia and the Canary Islands.
The cruise is available from €3,650 per person including a €700 early bird plus discount, and features port calls in Durban, Richard’s Bay, Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, as well as Walvis Bay as AIDAsol makes her way up Africa’s Atlantic coastline.
Other legs within the larger World Cruise available for booking include Hamburg to Mauritius (October 23rd, 2024 to January 15th, 2025 from €12,445 per person), San Antonio to Hamburg (November 28th, 2024 to February 17th, 2025 from €11,265 per person), and Hamburg to Sydney (October 23rd, 2024 to December 29th, 2024 from €9,790 per person).
The Sydney to Hamburg leg from December 29th, 2024 to February 17th, 2025 can also be booked from €6,300 per person.
Destination highlights on the entire World Cruise include Rio de Janeiro in Brazil owing to its golden beaches, subtropical forests and Sugar Loaf Mountain, and Napier in New Zealand – a new port for AIDA – famous for its classicist architecture from the 1930s, as well as its ancient Maori culture.
All of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies were filmed in various locations in New Zealand, which passengers will be able to visit, before celebarting New Year’s Eve in Melbourne, Australia.
In South Africa, passengers can visit Table Mountain and world-renowned wildlife safaris, as well as experience Robben Island, the infamous prison where Nobel Peace Prize winner Nelson Mandela spent the final 18 years of his 27 years in prison fighting for democracy.
In Namibia, passengers will also be able to take in the towering sand dunes of the Namib Desert.
