Atzaro unveils plans for a luxury safari camp in the Okavango Delta
The hotel company Atzaro has revealed plans for its upcoming Atzaro Okavango camp, slated to open in March.
Located within a 425-square-mile, private concession in northern Botswana's Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta, the camp will offer 12 suites, with two designated as private-use villas. Suites are equipped with plunge pools, open-air "star beds" and decks that overlook the lagoon and waterways. Atzaro's design touches are evident in the interiors, which feature parquet flooring, French midcentury furnishings and a curated mix of linens, antiques, and artwork. Modern amenities include air conditioning, high-speed WiFi and en-suite facilities with outdoor showers and brass bathtubs.
The lodge itself will house a restaurant, bar, boma, African art gallery, art shop and wine cellar. Guests can partake in wine tastings, relax by a 20-meter pool adjacent to the lagoon or utilize the camp's gym and spa.
Available activities encompass private game drives, community visits, guided safari hikes, stargazing, helicopter tours, dinners by the lagoon and mokoro canoe expeditions. Each private villa will have a dedicated vehicle and ranger for sunrise and sunset drives as well as a helicopter that will be stationed at the lodge. Bespoke safari experiences also include tailored yoga and gym sessions.
Atzaro Okavango is partnering with African Bush Camps to ensure top-tier, local expertise and guidance for guests.
Rates for the camp range from $700 to $1,500 per person, per night during peak season.
