Arik Air flights resume as Keyamo and Capt Najomo help resolve impasse
In a remarkable display of effective leadership and crisis management, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo and the Acting Director General Civil Aviation Captain Chris Najomo have played a pivotal role in resolving the impasse between Arik Air and Atlas Petroleum.
As a result of their intervention, the spokesman for NCAA Mr Micheal Achimugu in a statement says, two of the three grounded Arik Air aircraft have been cleared by the NCAA to resume operations today.
According to him, passengers scheduled to travel on Arik Air are already being checked-in at airport terminals across the country, signaling a return to normalcy in the aviation sector.
The NCAA extends its gratitude to Minister Keyamo and Captain Najomo for their invaluable assistance in resolving the crisis.
