Eastern Cape: "Free Access Week"
The Eastern Cape Parks & Tourism Agency (ECPTA), mandated to develop and manage protected areas and promote and facilitate the development of tourism in South Africa's Eastern Cape, has announced the dates of the annual "Free Access Week" in the Eastern Cape. From 23 September 2024 until 30 September 2024 the ECPTA is offering free (day) access for South Africans to select Provincial Nature Reserve in the province. The following Nature Reserves are taking part in the "Free Access Week 2024":
- Oviston Nature Reserve
- East London Coast Nature Reserve
- Ongeluksnek Nature Reserve
- Dwesa Nature Reserve
- Great Fish River Nature Reserve
- Thomas Baines Nature Reserve
- Waters Meeting Nature Reserve
- Tsolwana Game Reserve/Commando Drift Nature Reserve
- Mpofu Fort Fordyce Nature Reserve
- Silaka Nature Reserve
- Mkambati Nature Reserve
- Hluleka Nature Reserve
