Durban Beach Situation Amended
The eThekwini Municipality, which oversees the governance and management of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, has published updated information regarding the status of local beaches and swimming pools as of December 2, 2024. According to the latest updates, 21 beaches in Durban are currently open and safe for swimming, while swimming is prohibited at two beaches due to concerns about water quality. Additionally, there are 33 swimming pools available for public use in Durban.

The following beaches are currently closed for swimming:

- Reunion Beach
