Emirates Celebrates 25 Years of Service to Bahrain with Enhanced Connectivity
This year marks a significant milestone for Emirates as the airline celebrates 25 years of operations in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Since its inaugural flight on 25 January 2000, when a Boeing 777-200 first touched down in Bahrain, Emirates has played a pivotal role in fostering trade, tourism, and connectivity for the Kingdom. Over the years, the airline has transported more than 7.86 million passengers, cementing its position as a key player in Bahrain’s aviation landscape.
To commemorate this achievement, Emirates hosted a grand dinner event, bringing together government officials, VIPs, and travel trade leaders. The gathering celebrated the airline’s enduring partnership with Bahrain and its contributions to the Kingdom’s global connectivity.
Expanding Services and Modern Fleet
Emirates’ operations in Bahrain have grown significantly over the past two-and-a-half decades. From its initial double-daily services using a mix of Airbus A300, A310, and A330 aircraft, the airline now operates 22 weekly flights with a modern fleet of Airbus A350s and Boeing 777s. These flights offer nearly 7,000 seats each way, providing travelers with seamless access to over 140 destinations worldwide, including popular hubs like Manila, London, Kuala Lumpur, Chennai, and Dhaka.
In a move to enhance the travel experience, Emirates recently introduced the Airbus A350 on two of its three daily flights from Bahrain. This next-generation aircraft features advanced cabin designs across all classes, offering passengers quieter cabins, improved air quality, and state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment systems. Bahrain is among the first destinations to benefit from this cutting-edge addition to Emirates’ fleet.
Special Deployments and Milestones
Emirates has also showcased its iconic A380 aircraft in Bahrain on several occasions, including during peak travel periods and the Kingdom’s National Day celebrations. The airline has used these opportunities to highlight its premium onboard products and services, further strengthening its brand presence in the region. Additionally, Emirates has participated in the Bahrain International Airshow, demonstrating its commitment to the Kingdom’s aviation sector.
As Emirates celebrates 25 years of service to Bahrain, the airline continues to enhance its offerings, providing African travel agents with new opportunities to connect their clients to Bahrain and beyond. With its modern fleet, extensive network, and commitment to excellence, Emirates remains a trusted partner for travelers and businesses alike.
