Ghana unveils December In Gh 2026 calendar with over 150 events and new pan-African festival
Ghana’s December In Gh 2026 tourism initiative will run from December 1, 2026 to January 3, 2027, offering travel sellers a packed calendar of more than 150 registered events nationwide. The programme, themed “Ghana to the World”, aims to showcase the country’s culture, creative industries and hospitality to international and diaspora visitors during the peak festive season.
Accra will host over 100 activities, while other regions are also set to benefit from the campaign’s focus on spreading tourism opportunities across the country. As part of the initiative, Ghana will collaborate with the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) to host the inaugural African Festival of Arts, Culture and Creativity (A-FESTA) from December 9–11, 2026. December In Gh forms part of the broader Black Star Experience campaign, which seeks to position Ghana as a leading destination for cultural and heritage tourism and to drive sustainable economic growth through the festive season.
