Domestic flight operations are to resume on the 8th of July, 2020.

Abuja and Lagos airports will be the only airports approved for flights operations on the 8th of July.

The Minister of aviation, Hadi Sirika who made the announcement this evening after a virtual meeting with stakeholders said other airports namely Kano, Port Harcourt, Owerri and Maiduguri will be opened to flights on the 11th of July and other airports would follow on the 15th, July.

Date for international flights the minister said would be announced in due course. On Monday this week, the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 after an assessment of the airport’s readiness to restart flights in compliance with the covid-19 protocols lifted the ban on domestic operations.
