Ibom Air acquires new aircraft and will open new routes Ibom Air acquires new aircraft and will open new routes

Ibom Air has concluded plans to acquire another aircraft to commence another route.

This is just as the airline is spreading its wings to places where there are needs for seamless movement of people from point A to B.

In a chat with newsmen during the airline’s launch to Calabar, the Group Marketing Manager, Ibom Air Mrs. Annie Esseien-Ette said currently the airline has 4 aircraft which operates 4 routes and with an additional aircraft, the airline would be operating more routes.

“For now we have four and we have four routes ad the routes are Lagos, Abuja, U yo and Calabar but very soon we are unveiling another aircraft and that would be another route, we want to be a little bit mysterious about that but in the coming days you will get to hear.”

She emphasized that Ibom air has an expansion plan which cuts across the entire Nigeria and what they are doing is looking at the various locations where there are needs and then go there first.“But we want to be able to position ourselves first as a regional airline of choice for people traveling in Nigeria that requires safety, reliability and comfort”, she added.

Mrs Essien-Ette disclosed that their paramount aim for now is to give Nigerian travelers and everybody traveling within the Nigerian airspace a different experience and that experience is scheduled reliability, on time departure and superior services.

She further went on to explain what Superior service means which is giving and helping their customers to break away from the norm of travel delays and tacky services, adding that Ibom air is bringing something different to the table to give customers a better experience when it come to traveling by air.

“So, what we are selling to the public is, if you want to get somewhere on time you can count on us to make that to happen and that is the first thing we are pushing off course we know that the profit would come but when people know that they can trust us you can be assured that we would have the most passengers and the profit would come and so, as much as we are profit driven, we are more particular about giving our experience to our passengers for now.”

“Destination is on a need basis, we are very strategy about how we come up just because we want to have an airline, we look at where your needs are, we drive our resources toward that so certainly, Ibom Air is here to differentiate and make sure that we are the regional airline of note covering Nigeria nationally and in time to come we are expanding internationally as well.”

On passenger load factor due to the pandemic, the Ibom air Group Marketing Manager, said there is a general travel apathy but the airline passenger is picking up.She said, they are allowing the public to come into their own but what they are doing is getting publicity out there to say that, if they have concerns about flying, convenience and the air they breathe in, the airline have them covered.

“Our aircraft are HEPA fortified, High Efficiency Particular Air filters, it filters air every two to three minutes, in fact, our aircraft is about the best kind of air you can breathe right now and you can take that to the bank, so once you give them that comfort and let them know that where you are going to, we try within our power to get you there at the time you need to be there am sure it will start giving them the comfort to fly again which we are trying to do. Let them come into their own why we tell them that there is nothing really to fear, we are here and prepared to make sure that their safety is guaranteed and you get to where you are going to on time.”

Essien-Ette said the airline has exceeded most of its projection for load factor based on its projection.“I think we have exceeded most of our projections for load factor and they are picking up on a daily basis but before this time out, we were having about 70-80 load factor but off course like I said due to the apathy well it’s coming up a bit but it is even exceeding our projection for this period.”
