Air Austral resumes flights to Nosy Be island in Madagascar
This follows the latest announcements and government requests formalising the reopening of the island of Nosy Be to international travellers since October 1, 2020.

After several months of paralysis, this first relaunch marks the gradual restart of our activity from and to Madagascar and more generally of our regional network. It also intervenes, in a context where the sanitary and health measures in force meet the reciprocal requirements of the French and Malagasy authorities to guarantee our passengers the best level of health security. This popular destination in Madagascar, once again accessible to tourism, will gradually meet the demand for travel ", says Marie Joseph Malé, Chairman and CEO of Air Austral.
Two flights are scheduled (October 16 and 23) for a gradual resumption of flights. Subsequently and depending on the evolution of the situation, the airline might set up a more extensive programme at the beginning of the IATA 2020 winter (early November). Travel conditions to and from Nosy Be remain regulated and will initially be limited to the island of Nosy Be and its archipelagos. No travel to the main island of Madagascar is currently authorised.
