Following the Lagos State Government 24 hour curfew imposed on the State, domestic airlines are cancelling all their flights from Wednesday. Arik Air has cancelled all its flight operations for Wednesday, October 21, 2020 due to the 24 hours curfew.

In a statement by its spokesman, Mr. Banji Ola, “All booked passengers on the cancelled flights are advised to reschedule their flights for later dates at no extra cost.However, other airlines are not cancelling all their flights as they say operations will be ongoing in other states were curfew are not imposed.Despite the curfew, the airport or airspace in Lagos is not closed to flights.

A stakeholder says no legitimate flight will be restricted from operating. “Airlines have the right to either operate or cancel their flights as they deem fit.”

A regional airline, Africa World Airlines has also announced the cancelation of its Wednesday flights.
