Arrival Of Railway Construction Vehicles For The Dapilon - Santou Railway Arrival Of Railway Construction Vehicles For The Dapilon - Santou Railway

Construction vehicles for the Winning Consortium Railway Guinea (WCRG) of the Dapilon-Santou railway were successfully hoisted and lowered on the line at Dapilon station.

A total of 12 vehicles were transferred, the weight of which varied between 20 and 60 tonnes. Considering the technical complexity of the lifting operation plan, significant upstream preparation and coordination work was necessary for the operation to be successful in complete safety. Completed in just 2 days, these vehicles on track marks the launch of the track laying for the Dapilon-Santou railway, with an implementation target of June 2021.

The Dapilon-Santou railway, built and managed by the SMB-Winning Consortium, will be dedicated to transporting ore. Serving the mining areas in the Kindia and Boké area, this new railway line will constitute an important transport infrastructure for all mining companies operating along this axis.
