Uganda Airlines continues to rebuild its regional network with the return to Bujumbura from November 20. Mombasa service will begin next month. It has already reconnected with Nairobi, Mogadishu, Dar Es Salaam and Juba. Uganda Airlines is also eyeing Kinshasa, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar and Johannesburg. Its A330-800 is expected in December for its long-haul deployment.

Uganda Airlines has announced the resumption of its flights to Bujumbura. From November 20, the link between Entebbe and the Burundian capital will be offered twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. The line will be operated without competition in CRJ900.

On Tuesdays, flight UR360 will leave Entebbe at 9:00 a. m. to land at Bujumbura airport at 9:15 a. m. local time. On the return trip, flight UR361 will leave the Burundian capital at 9:55 a. m. to arrive on Ugandan soil at 12:10 p. m. local time. On Fridays, departures are scheduled at 4.30 p. m. and arrivals at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport at 4.45 p. m. In the opposite direction, flight UR361 will depart Bujumbura at 5:25 pm and land at Entebbe International Airport at 7:40 pm local time.

As part of its regional expansion, Uganda Airlines also announced the reopening of the corridor between Entebbe and Mombasa in Kenya, from December 1. The line will be operated, without competition, three times a week on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.

Since the reopening of Entebbe International Airport on October 1, Uganda Airlines has reconnected with Nairobi, Mogadishu, Dar Es Salaam and Juba. Kinshasa, Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar and Johannesburg are also among the targeted routes for the coming months.

Remember that the company will take delivery of the first of its two A330-800neo, next month. This will complete its homogeneous fleet of four CRJ900s. Outside Africa, Uganda Airlines is targeting Dubai, London and Guangzhou.
