Last Wednesday, November 25, Air Burkina inaugurated its Ouagadougou - Cotonou - Libreville link. The road between the capitals of Burkina Faso and Gabon, via the economic capital of Benin, is served twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday).
It is operated with its Embraer E170 / 175/195 fleet. In addition to passenger flights, the company also offers a freight service on this line. Air Burkina competes on the Cotonou-Libreville section with Mauritania Airlines, Rwandair and Air Senegal.
As a reminder, Air Burkina, newly re-privatized, relaunched its regional flights on August 1st. Since then, the company has served Bamako (Mali), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), Dakar (Senegal), Niamey (Niger) and Cotonou (Benin). The Burkinabè national flagship resumed its operations on July 24, with the reopening of its only domestic route (Ouagadougou - Bobo Dioulasso).
The public pavilion had previously suspended its activities on March 29, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
