Congo Airways restarts regional flights
Congo Airways has announced the resumption of its regional flights. From December 13, 2020, the national company of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), will relaunch its connection to Johannesburg in South Africa, from Kinshasa.
The line will be operated by A320-200, via Lubumbashi every Sunday.
Congo Airways will compete on the Lubumbashi- Johannesburg section with the private South African company Airlink, which offers three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) since November 30. As part of the reconstruction of its network, the carrier plans to reconnect with Douala and Cotonou shortly. In his growth plan, he is also targeting Abidjan, Libreville, Bujumbura, Bangui, and Nairobi. Recall that Congo Airways has suspended its regional flights since March 20 due to the closure of national borders. The restriction was lifted on August 15.
