Air Austral operates EVASAN flights between Reunion Island and Paris Air Austral operates EVASAN flights between Reunion Island and Paris

With the support of the French health authorities (DSAC OI, ARS and SAMU), the airline had undertaken a technical and operational feasibility study to operate long-haul flights for evacuation. This aims  at unclogging health services in Reunion Island and Mayotte (Indian Ocean).

These operations require specific know-how that Air Austral has developed in collaboration with the health authorities and the Civil Aviation authority.

The airline is ready to operate its first flight on March 4, to transport 4 stretchers between Reunion Island and Paris CDG Airport. Air Austral had already carried a dedicated team (first-aiders and health personnel), as well as 800kgs of medical equipment, which arrived in Reunion Island today.

Air Austral also deploys resources on a daily basis to meet the needs  for travel and the transport of goods. Out of solidarity, the airline is  facilitating these activities through additional flights 100% dedicated  to freight.
