Why Air Peace is back in Accra March 15 and flies to Ilorin Why Air Peace is back in Accra March 15 and flies to Ilorin

Air Peace said it would make a daily return to Accra, Ghana from March 15, 2021, just as it makes a return to Ilorin International Airport in Kwara State.

A statement by Stanley Olisa, Senior Communication Executive, Air Peace said that the airline would recommence the Lagos-Accra flight on March 15, 2021. Olisa in a statement stated that Lagos-Accra flight would depart daily at 07:00hrs while Accra-Lagos flight would depart at 07:40hrs. Olisa hinted that the resumption of Accra flights was due to popular demand by the flying public, recalling that the airline had suspended its scheduled flights to Accra due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, which crippled world’s economies.

“You would recall that we suspended our Accra flights consequent upon the pandemic lockdown last year. But, we have some exciting news for our esteemed customers as we are resuming flight operations into the Ghanaian city pretty soon. The flying public has been expectant of this,” he said.

Also, Olisa emphasised that the airline was finalising plans to commence Ilorin flights from Lagos and Abuja airports.

He reiterated Air Peace’s commitment to providing peaceful connectivity across domestic, regional and international destinations and satisfying the air travel needs of Nigerians. At present, Olisa pointed out that Air Peace is servicing 16 domestic routes, five regional routes and two international destinations, including Johannesburg, and has a varied fleet of 26 aircraft comprising the ultra-modern Embraer 195-E2 jet, Boeing 777, Embraer 145, Boeing 737 and Dornier 328 jet.
