Turkish Airlines returns to the Seychelles Turkish Airlines returns to the Seychelles

Turkish Airlines has returned to Seychelles since Friday April 23.

Since then, the Turkish national carrier has offered 2 weekly flights (Tuesdays and Fridays) between Istanbul (Turkey) and Victoria Island, with a day change scheduled from July 12 (Tuesdays and Saturdays). The route is operated by a 289-seater Airbus A330-300 (28 in business class and 261 in economy class).

“Contributing to the revival of the local tourism industry, the airline connects the Seychelles to the regions of Central and Eastern Europe, which have become paramount for the country, as many of its traditional markets remain blocked, "says the Seychelles Tourist Board (STB)." Now that we are focusing on the Eastern and Central European bloc, the return of the Turkish airline will help us to further develop this region because it will connect us with more points in this region. Every airline that resumes operations on our shores is an important part to us, because each of them has its own contribution,”STB General Manager Sherin Francis said upon welcoming Friday's flight.

The return of Turkish Airlines comes more than a month after the Seychelles borders reopened (on March 25) to the world, except for the moment, South Africa and Brazil.
