Anantara Iko Mauritius announces appointment of new General Manager
Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas announces the appointment of its new General Manager, Pascal Bertrand, who brings over 35 years of luxury hospitality experience from around the globe to take the hotel to new heights.
He joins the Mauritius property, which opened in late 2019, to take it forward with his visionary leadership, which he has gained working with international brands in numerous regions.
French national Pascal got a taste for the hotelier life when he started his career in Food & Beverage, as Sous-Chef for Eleven Maple Street Restaurant in Florida. He continued his career in F& B by joining The Ritz Carlton in Atlanta as Assistant Banqueting Manager, followed by The Ritz Carlton Cancun and The Ritz Carlton in Florida.
With qualifications in Hotel Asset Management and Real Estate from Cornell University, Pascal progressed through the ranks of hotel operations before taking his first General Manager position at the Legends Hotel Mauritius, in 2010.

Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas features 164 guest rooms and suites and will soon launch an additional eight luxury pool villas – two with two bedrooms and six with four bedrooms. Facilities at the resort include Sea. Fire. Salt – a specialty grill and seafood restaurant with courtyard and beach dining, an all-day dining restaurant, private dining with a wine cellar, a healthy wellness-focused cafe, two bars – one by the poolside and one facing the beach, a 30-metre ozone-based swimming pool, a gym, a signature Anantara Spa and a kids’ club.
Anantara currently operates more than 40 hotels across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the Indian Ocean, with a pipeline of new developments including in the Middle East region, Europe and Asia.
