Uganda Airlines to fly to Dubai from October with A330neo
Last month, Uganda Airlines added its A330-800neo fleet to its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), which now allows it to build its transcontinental network.
Uganda Airlines will operate its inaugural flight to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates in October, the airline announced on its Twitter account on Wednesday. This is its first service outside Africa.
From its base in Entebbe, the carrier will operate three weekly rotations - Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays - on this new route. It will operate its A330-800neo fleet, two aircraft (MSN 1977, 1979) configured to accommodate 20 passengers in Business Class, 28 in Premium and 210 in Economy. On this corridor, Uganda Airlines will be in direct competition with Emirates Airlines and Flydubai.
