Cabo Verde Airlines to resume commercial operations
The Chairwoman of TACV’s Board of Directors, Sara Pires, announced on Wednesday that Cabo Verde’s national air carrier, TACV will resume flying later this month, with Lisbon (Portugal) the destination of this recovery with a Boeing-757-200 aircraft.
According to a source at the airline, Cabo Verde Airlines is already certified by the Civil Aviation Agency (AAC), so it is authorized to resume flights.
She acknowledged that the recovery of the air operator certificate was the result of “hard work” initiated by TACV and AAC technicians.
In an interview with Rádio de Cabo Verde (RCV), Sara Pires assured that, initially, TACV will operate with a device under wet-leasing, which means that the plane owner guarantees the crew, as well as the insurance of the equipment.
