Morocco reopens its border to leisure travelers
Morocco reopened its borders to international leisure travel on Monday, ending a two-month ban.
Visitors must be fully vaccinated and must present proof of that vaccination as well as a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before boarding a flight, according to the country's Visit Morocco website. Rapid antigen tests will be administered upon arrival at the airport. Masks are required in public areas.
Morocco's borders had been closed since Nov. 29 due to the winter surge of the Covid-19 omicron variant in an attempt to curb the spread of the virus.
