Tunisair now lands at London Stansted
Over the years, the offer of air services has become much denser between the Tunisian and London capitals. With the arrival of Tunisair at Stansted, the 3 main London airports now have a direct link with Tunis.
Since 31 March, Tunisair has started a new route between Tunis Carthage International Airport and the London hub of Stansted.
On this corridor operated by A319/A320, the Tunisian national flag is currently offering one flight per week on Thursdays. A second weekly rotation is planned on Mondays.
On the outbound leg, flight TU792 leaves the Tunisian capital at 1.50pm and arrives at 4.55pm. The return flight leaves the UK at 17:55 and lands at 20:55. Tunisair is in competition with its compatriot Nouvelair, which inaugurated its Tunis-London Gatwick service on 29 March.
Tunisair has therefore cancelled its flights to London Gatwick, but is maintaining its rotations to Heathrow airport with two weekly services on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
"New routes are always exciting developments and Tunisair's direct flight to Tunis offers passengers even more choice. Tunisia offers something for everyone, whether it's a city break in the capital with its fascinating Roman archaeological sites or an all-inclusive holiday along the country's famous Mediterranean coast. We wish them every success with this new route from London Stansted," commented Mats Sigurdson, Manchester Airport Group's (MAG) Director of Airline Development.
