Nigeria Air receives Air Transport License from NCAA Nigeria Air receives Air Transport License from NCAA

THE Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has today, presented an Air Transport License (ATL) to the interim management of Nigeria Air, the country’s proposed national carrier, led by Captain Dapo Olumide. An ATL certification is a document which states the kinds of operations a carrier will embark on scheduled, non-scheduled, cargo air services within and outside Nigeria; precedes the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) empowers the airline to operate scheduled commercial flights.

The ATL with number NCAA/ATR1/ATL214 signed by the Director General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu will run for a period of five (5)years from today June 3rd 2022 to the 2nd June, 2027.

There are indications that the AOC, which is currently under processing and has reached an advanced stage, may be given to the airline by next month. The Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, had hinted that the much-awaited national carrier would commence operation by July.
