South African Airways (SAA) increases flights to Mauritius
Mauritius is a very popular destination for South Africans. It is expected that demand will continue to increase during the summer holidays. South African Airways (SAA) has been authorised to operate on Mauritian soil again on 1 March 2022, after travel restrictions were eased.
From next month, South African Airways (SAA) will increase the offer on its service to Mauritius.
From 16 July, SAA will introduce a new Saturday rotation to the island, increasing its overall service from two to three rotations per week. It already operates on Wednesdays and Sundays with Airbus A320 aircraft.
Flight SA190 departs Johannesburg at 09:40 and lands in Mauritius at 15:40. On the return leg, flight SA191 leaves Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Port Louis at 16:30 and arrives in the South African megacity at 18:55.
SAA competes on this route with Air Mauritius (7 flights per week) and FlySafair (2 flights per week).
