Air Algérie authorised to reopen 25 routes to France
Since the reopening of the Algerian sky on 1 June 2021, Air Algerie, the Algerian national airline, has gradually received the approval of the ministry in charge to reconstitute its entire network before the health crisis.
Air Algerie's Algeria-France route should be considerably densified in the coming weeks. On Sunday 28 August 2022, the Algerian Ministry of Transport authorised the carrier to reopen 25 routes between the two countries. These are Sétif - Paris (2 weekly flights), Biskra - Paris (2 weekly flights), Batna - Paris (2 weekly flights), La Vallée - Paris (1 weekly flight), Batna - Marseille (3 weekly flights), Tlemcen - Marseille (2 weekly flights), Sétif - Marseille (3 weekly flights), Bejaia - Lyon (3 weekly flights).
But also El Oued Souf - Paris (1 flight per week), Batna - Lyon (4 flights per week), Biskra - Lyon (2 flights per week), Tlemcen - Lyon (1 flight per week), Constantine - Toulouse (2 flights per week), Oran - Lille (3 flights per week), Constantine - Lille (2 flights per week), Constantine - Nice (3 flights per week) Algiers - Metz (6 weekly flights), Oran - Metz (1 weekly flight), Constantine - Metz (2 weekly flights), Algiers - Metz (2 weekly flights), Constantine - Metz (3 weekly flights), Algiers - Bordeaux (4 weekly flights), Algiers-Mulhouse ( 2 flights per week), Constantine - Mulhouse ( 3 flights per week) and Oran - Bordeaux (2 weekly flights).
In addition, Air Algerie has also been authorised to increase the density of certain corridors already reopened. This is the case of Algiers - Paris, which benefits from 14 additional weekly connections (including 3 attributed to Tassili Airlines), for a total of 66 trips per week. There will be an increase from 19 to 21 weekly flights on Oran - Paris, from 11 to 15 on Bejaia - Paris, and from 14 to 21 on Algiers - Marseille.
