The eThekwini Municipality, the local government body responsible for governing and managing Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, on Thursday (29 September 2022) announced that following the latest round of testing it has taken a decision to close eight of Durban's southern beaches with immediate effect.
The following beaches are closed: Isiphingo, Ansteys, Amanzimtoti Main, Warner, Gavies, Baggies, Reunion, and Winklespruit beaches.
