What if Air Senegal's Airbus A220-300 "Niokolo Koba" did not fly again until 2023?
The first Airbus A220-300 of Air Senegal, which was delivered on December 29, 2021, has been grounded and stored in the company's hangars in Dakar, Senegal, for almost half a month.
The reason for this is that serious damage has been noted on both engines. The A220-300, ex-CSeries of the Canadian Bombardier bought by Airbus in 2018, is equipped with engines from the American Pratt and Whitney.
