Radisson Hotel Group said it plans to reach 150 hotels and 25,000 rooms within the next five years across the African continent.

"The last two years have been a time of accelerated growth for the Radisson Hotel Group; 2023 is already anticipated to remain positive with nine hotel openings during the year," Elie Younes, executive vice president and global chief development officer for Radisson Hotel Group, told attendees at the recent Africa Hotel Investment Forum.

Radisson opened over 16 hotels in the region and secured over 25 new hotels in the past two years. Key markets for the Group's Africa expansion plan include Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Cameroon, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

The group has entered several key new African markets this year alone, including Madagascar and East Africa. Opening in the next two months are the Radisson Blu Hotel, Livingstone in Zambia and the Radisson Safari Hotel, Hoedspruit in South Africa.
