Regenerative Travel, a benefit corporation and a collection of independent hotels and lodges committed to regenerative hospitality has launched the first in its series of Best Practice Papers to provide informative and actionable insights into how hospitality businesses are operating in a regenerative way throughout their entire supply chain. This first Best Practice Paper focuses on Resource Management for Plastic. This will be followed by two further papers on Resource Management for Waste and Water respectively, to be launched in January 2023.

The papers include best performer case studies showcasing hotels with outstanding operations in these areas and offer practical tips for hotels aspiring to operate in an equally regenerative manner. This series of Resource Management Best Practice Papers are launching in partnership with Weeva, a new sustainability management platform allowing hospitality businesses to precisely record and track data to benchmark and improve their operational practices launching in 2023.

“Our best practice papers are the next step in our mission to provide educational resources for the tourism industry to help the entire sector have a more positive social and environmental impact. We conducted detailed research of hotel operations to determine the most effective practices in Resource Management within hospitality. The first best practice papers in our series will provide practical, actionable recommendations for how to make the necessary changes our planet needs to see in hospitality supply chains.” says  Amanda Ho, Co-Founder & CEO.

Launch of Agency of Change Trade Membership Regenerative Travel is excited to announce the waitlist launch of its Agency of Change Trade Program. The program offers membership to value-aligned travel agents to help them bring regenerative travel experiences to their clients, thus making them stewards of change in the travel industry.

Membership offers travel agents a range of benefits including Regenerative Resources, monthly online educational webinars, monthly agent programming and virtual product showcases. It also grants access to a community forum of engaged conscious consumers that align with the Regenerative Travel ethos. The Trade Program also offers travel agents competitive commission rates as well as exclusive membership perks available at Regenerative Hotels  around the world.

Regenerative Travel will initially offer membership to only 50 agencies under the prestigious ‘Agency of Change’ label in 2023 to ensure the highest level of commitment and service to regenerative practices in their product offerings. There will be a database including agency names and profiles listed on the Regenerative Travel website with details of country specialists to inform consumers and allow them to contact travel agents with offerings relevant to their travel plans. These agencies will also receive marketing benefits to increase awareness of their status as an Agency of Change, including promotion through Regenerative Travel channels and marketing materials.

“We’re excited to launch the waitlist for our highly anticipated Trade Program. We are aware that for the entire travel industry to make the paradigm shift toward regeneration, every member and stakeholder within travel needs to be involved. By working together with travel agents, we hope to highlight the pioneers offering the most sought-after and positively impactful regenerative travel experiences for travelers.”  says Amanda Ho.
