ITB Berlin 2023: Generation Wanderlust is the focus of the Youth Travel and Responsible Tourism
The popularity of unique and individual travel experiences among young people is on the rise. According to the WYSE Travel Confederation's New Horizons survey, which is the only recurring global youth and student travel survey, they are travelling further, staying longer, and spending more money than ever before. The travel industry is also seeing a growing market in adventure and sports travel. From March 7 to 9, trade visitors attending ITB Berlin can find the Youth Travel and Accommodation segment and the Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism segment in Hall 4.1. These are the main platforms for tomorrow's travellers and the international forum for nature experience and environmentally and socially responsible tourism.
Since 1999, companies and associations representing the youth travel market have come together in the Youth Travel and Accommodation segment to jointly present youth travel. In Hall 4.1, leading school trip organizers, accommodation and camp providers, and specialist youth travel associations will be represented, as well as numerous international companies on the stand of the WYSE Travel Confederation.
At the ITB Berlin Convention's Youth, Adventure & Outdoor track, there will be a session entitled 'GenZ and the transformation of travel,' where experts will share their experiences and discuss how motivation and behaviour will influence international travel and tourism in the years to come. Trade visitors can also participate in additional events in the wide-ranging programme on youth travel in the workshop area of KiJu-Reisen on Stand 121 of Reisenetz e.V.
