Emirates and Philippine Airlines announce interline partnership Emirates and Philippine Airlines announce interline partnership

Emirates and Philippine Airlines (PAL) have forged an interline partnership to enhance connectivity for their respective passengers, allowing them to access new destinations on each other’s networks via Manila and Dubai with a single ticket and consistent baggage policy.

The mutual agreement has already been implemented, and it enables Emirates’ passengers to access 19 domestic locations in the Philippines via PAL, including Cebu, Bacolod, Cotabato, Iloilo, and Davao, as well as two Asian regional points via Manila. In turn, PAL’s customers will gain access to Emirates’ global network, seamlessly connecting to 21 cities beyond Dubai, including popular European cities such as London, Rome, Paris, Frankfurt, and Kuwait, as well as Jeddah and other Middle Eastern, African, and Indian destinations.

Booking travel itineraries can be done on both carriers’ websites, mobile apps, and through travel agents, both online and offline.

Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, stated that the Philippines is one of the airline’s most robust markets and that the interline partnership with PAL will generate more inbound traffic and expand Emirates’ presence in East Asia, opening new trade and tourism links. He also expressed eagerness to cooperate with PAL in the future, adding more points via Cebu to their joint network in the coming months.

Meanwhile, PAL’s Vice President for Sales, Bud Britanico, said that the partnership with Emirates gives the airline’s customers greater access to various international markets and destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, stimulating global business and tourism travel while improving service to overseas Filipinos.

Emirates first began serving Manila in 1990 and has since grown its network to include Cebu and Clark, with 25 weekly flights to the three gateways. Its fleet features modern Boeing 777-300ER aircraft with a mix of three-class and two-class configurations, offering luxurious amenities and personalized services across all classes.

This interline partnership with PAL brings Emirates' interline partners to 120 airlines, along with 27 codeshare partners, giving the carrier the ability to cater to its customers’ ever-changing travel needs with flexibility and agility.
