Fifth Condor A330neo takes off on first commercial flight
The second A330neo in the "Beach" livery has taken off, following its delivery in Frankfurt last Friday. On April 12, the aircraft embarked on its commercial maiden flight to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius, carrying approximately 250 guests. This registration D-ANRJ aircraft joins Condor's long-haul fleet immediately, becoming its fifth new long-haul aircraft and the manufacturer Airbus' 100th delivery of an A330-900neo.
Since the first factory-new A330neo took off in 2022, Condor has received four more long-haul aircraft and expects to receive one on average each month until 2024. The Condor A330neo currently operates several times weekly to Mauritius, the Maldives, Punta Cana, Varadero, New York-JFK, and now Cancún.
Guests can enjoy a more spacious feel on their flights, along with the latest generation of in-flight entertainment and onboard connectivity. The new aircraft are equipped with state-of-the-art engines from Rolls Royce, which are highly efficient thanks to the latest technology and can run on sustainable aviation fuels (SAF). They also feature cutting-edge flight and navigation systems, specifically developed to meet Condor's customer requirements. These systems enable noise- and CO2-efficient approach and departure procedures, reducing noise pollution by up to 60 percent.
