Zambia Tourism Agency agrees Tourism promotion with Emirates
Emirates and the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly promote tourism and boost visitor arrivals to Zambia by leveraging Emirates' global network of over 140 destinations. The MoU was signed by Badr Abbas, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations for Africa, and Matongo Matamwandi, CEO of the ZTA, at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai.
Under the partnership, both parties will collaborate on key initiatives and activities to promote experiences in Zambia and increase the visibility of the destination within the Emirates network. This will include advertising and marketing campaigns to drive inbound visitors to Zambia. Emirates has been building traffic into Zambia for more than ten years and offers a daily service with seven flights a week.
Zambia offers a rich tourism experience with opportunities for outdoor activities, a diverse cultural heritage, and unparalleled wildlife offerings in 20 National Parks and 36 Game Management Areas. The ZTA is participating at the Arabian Travel Market with private sector players in the tourism sector to enhance international travel to the country in support of its 2023 destination marketing plan, which aims to attract 1.5 million international arrivals. The MoU between Emirates and the ZTA will help boost Zambia's tourism and trade sectors and provide Emirates with an opportunity to serve market demand.
