Kruger National Park: Orpen Gate temporarily inaccessible for both entry and exit! [update]
SANParks has informed the public that Orpen Gate has been cleared and is now accessible for guests to enter and exit Kruger National Park.
South African National Parks (SANParks) has informed the public this morning that Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate is currently inaccessible for both entry and exit. The landclaimants of that area are peacefully protesting regarding landclaims issues. SANParks is advising guests to use alternative gates, such as Phalaborwa Gate, to enter and exit Kruger National Park until such time.
Orpen Gate is located in the western region of Kruger National Park. It provides access to the central and western parts of the National Park. Phalaborwa Gate is approximately 140 kilometers north from Orpen Gate via the R40 and R71 roads.
