SAS and Turkish Airlines terminate codeshare deal
SAS and Turkish Airlines have opted to end their codeshare partnership, effective September 1. Consequently, flights previously accessible for booking with SAS route designations operated by Turkish Airlines (and vice versa) will no longer be available.
The decision is intended to mitigate potential passenger disruptions in light of possible future alliance adjustments. SAS, a founding member of the Star Alliance, recently disclosed intentions to depart and join Sky Team, aligning with its new parent company, Air France-KLM.
Passengers holding bookings for Turkish Airlines flights utilizing SAS route designations after September 1 will be reaccommodated on the same flights but with Turkish route designations.
