New Design for the Plettenberg Restaurant
In
exciting news from The Liz McGrath Collection, The Plettenberg has announced that its restaurant will undergo a
complete transformation in the next few months. The Restaurant at the
Plettenberg will be re-designed with brand new interiors and contemporary
furniture, and along with improvements scheduled for the hotel kitchen and
service areas, will also be increased in size to accommodate more diners.
General Manager Melissa Theron says that the hotel will be closed for six weeks, between 16 May and 30 June 2024. ‘We have had an exceptionally busy and successful summer season, and we are thrilled by the prospects of rejuvenating sections of the property and re-opening our restaurant with a complete, new look and feel.
In addition to the work in the restaurant and kitchen, this opportunity will also be used for some general maintenance and back-of-house renovations, as well as the soft refurbishment of some of our guest rooms. Meanwhile, Group Executive chef Tronette Dippenaar is hard at work to design a new seasonal menu, and we look forward to welcoming our local community back to the restaurant with some delicious new menu items.’
The Plettenberg will re-open on Monday, the 1st of July 2024.
