FAAN embarks on cultural transformation with acculturation programme
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken a significant step towards transforming its organizational culture with the launch of its Acculturation Programme. The programme, aimed at cultivating a work environment that prioritizes excellence, efficiency, and integrity, was officially unveiled by FAAN’s Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku.
The initiative, driven by Director Special Duties, Mr. Henry Agbebire, includes a comprehensive culture change training for all staff, guided by the new handbook, “FLIGHT TO EXCELLENCE”. Also, FAAN has introduced “SKYWARD SHIFT”, a monthly bulletin to keep staff informed and motivated, and announced the MD’s Monthly Prize and Award for Excellence and Productivity to recognize outstanding performance.
Speaking at the launch event, Mrs. Kuku emphasized the programme’s significance, stating, “Change is never easy, but it is necessary for growth and progress. I urge all staff to fully engage with the training sessions and materials, and I have every confidence that together, we can drive FAAN’s vision forward.”
According to a statement, the Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Obiageli Orah, the Acculturation Programme is a commitment to continuous improvement, aimed at exceeding stakeholder and passenger expectations and positioning FAAN as a leader in the global aviation community.
It adds, with this initiative, FAAN is poised to transform its organizational culture, fostering a work environment that values excellence, efficiency, and integrity.
