ET suspends Asmara
Ethiopian Airlines sincerely regrets to inform its esteemed and valued customers who are planning to travel to or from Asmara that it has made the difficult decision to suspend all of its flights to Asmara, effective September 3, 2024.
This suspension is due to the extremely challenging operating conditions that the airline has encountered in Eritrea, which are unfortunately beyond its control. In light of this situation, Ethiopian Airlines is committed to doing everything possible to assist affected passengers. The airline will work diligently to rebook those impacted on alternative flights with other airlines at no additional cost to the passengers.
This effort aims to minimize the inconvenience caused by this unexpected disruption. As an alternative option, passengers who prefer not to travel can choose to receive a full refund for their tickets. Ethiopian Airlines understands the challenges this may pose and is dedicated to providing support and assistance during this time.
